What it's used for
Dexamethasone is used to reduce inflammation after dental procedures.
What to tell your dentist
Tell your dentist if you are allergic to dexamethasone, have an active infection, or have severe heart or stomach issues. Also, mention all other medications you are taking, or if you are already taking other corticosteroids. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please let your dentist know as dexamethasone can affect the baby. If you have been recently vaccinated or are planning to get vaccinated, let your dentist know.
How to use
Use dexamethasone exactly as prescribed.
Side effects
For some people, using can nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fatigue, or mood changes.
These side effects are rare for the use in dental prescriptions.
Storage
Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medications away from children and pets.
Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. You can bring medication to your local pharmacy for disposal.
